Okay, I've been thinking about a lot lately. For once, one of them is actually my drawing. Until recently, in my drawing class, I've basically been extending on my ability and just applying it to a larger scale. To put it simply, I'm just drawing bigger ninjas and actually shading them for once.

However, in recent days, the class has taken an unexpected turn. We're learning how to draw without looking at our paper, how to do "blind contour drawing." The concept is to always look at the subject being drawn and to try to move your pencil at the same speed as your eye. Though my first attempts at doing this were terrible at best, I am actually somewhat pleased with some of the other ones. I've scanned three of the ones I actually like, and will upload them sometime soon.

In other news, I had to quit my job as a bike mechanic because my grades were falling. I epic failed a math test (how does 12 out of 50 sound) and failed two Chemistry tests. All of these are firsts. So now I have to study an hour of math and an hour of chemistry, along with an hour of piano practice, before I can even START my homework.

High school sucks.

In the field of music, things were looking down, but are now looking up again. Julien-K's side project with Linkin Park's Chester Bennington, Dead by Sunrise, was a HUGE dissappointment, in my opinion. It's just mainstream rock to me, which isn't that bad, but I was expecting the cool electronic rock sound I got from Julien-K and their previous band, Orgy. However, I've discovered an artist that I really like, called Celldweller. His new album is being developed, and is being released as a five part series. The three songs I've heard from it are really epic, so his new project, "Wish Upon a Blackstar" has taken immediate priority over Dead by Sunrise.
